Vijayawada, Sep 09: Vijayawada’s dining scene is set to get a fresh new flavour as Novotel Vijayawada Varun hosts the city’s first Malaysian Seafood & Vegetarian Boil Festival at Red Bowl from 18 to 27 September 2026. Designed as a lively, hands-on sharing experience, the festival brings together fresh seafood, hearty vegetables, aromatic Malaysian spices, and bold sauces in generous bucket-style servings made for families, friends, and food lovers to enjoy together.

Inspired by Malaysia’s vibrant coastal food culture, the festival invites guests to roll up their sleeves, wear aprons and gloves, and dig into a table-friendly feast that is as visual as it is flavourful. Guests can choose between seafood and vegetarian boil buckets, each served with rice and a choice of three sauces: Malaysian Sambal, Nyonya Spicy & Sour, and Butter Garlic Sauce.
The Seafood Boil features mud crab, tiger prawns, calamari, baby octopus, clams, lobster, corn on the cob, and more, tossed in Malaysian-inspired spices and served in a generous bucket format. For vegetarian diners, the Vegetarian Boil offers king oyster mushrooms, palm hearts, tofu, baby red potatoes, bok choy, corn, broccoli, and seasonal vegetables, creating a hearty and flavour-packed alternative.
“Guests in Vijayawada can now experience a Malaysian-style seafood boil at Novotel Vijayawada Varun. We wanted to bring something interactive and social to the table, where guests can gather, share and enjoy a generous spread together. With both seafood and vegetarian options, there is something for everyone to savour and enjoy. We look forward to welcoming guests to Red Bowl to discover the flavours of Malaysia” said Manish Pathak, Hotel Manager, Novotel Vijayawada Varun.
The festival draws inspiration from Malaysia’s multicultural culinary heritage, where Malay, Chinese, and Indian influences come together through fresh ingredients, aromatic spices, and bold sauces. For Vijayawada’s growing community of diners looking for new culinary experiences, the festival offers an engaging format that combines flavour, theatre, and the joy of eating together.
