Goa Code Premier League 2026 Brings Together Developers, Startups and Industry Leaders in Goa

Minister for Information Technology (IT), Electronics & Communications, and Tourism, Government of Goa,  Shri. Rohan A. Khaunte delivered the keynote address at the inauguration of the Goa Code Premier League 2026 and interacted with participants and developers at the venue. Besides Goa, there were many teams participating from Karnataka, Telangana and Maharashtra.

During his interaction, he encouraged young innovators to continue building impactful technology-driven solutions and highlighted the importance of community-led initiatives in shaping the future of technology and entrepreneurship in Goa.

As part of the sports-tech themed hackathon, the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Goa, had provided real-world problem statements focused on sports and youth engagement. Participating teams worked on innovative technology-driven solutions addressing these challenges, and the submitted solutions will further be evaluated by the department to explore opportunities for implementation and future collaboration.

The event also featured an address by D.S. Prashant, Chief Executive Officer of the Startup and IT Promotion Cell (SPC), Government of Goa. Speaking to participants, he emphasized the importance of innovation, startup opportunities, and nurturing young talent through platforms such as the Goa Code Premier League.

Participants continued refining their projects and prototypes before the Founder Meet & Greet session began later in the evening.

The evening saw the participation of startup founders and entrepreneurs from across Goa, who interacted directly with hackathon teams, reviewed ideas and problem statements, and shared guidance and mentorship with participants.

One of the major highlights of  Goa Code Premier League 2026 was the strong interaction between founders and developers. Several founders connected individually with participants to discuss future opportunities, with some even assigning personal or startup projects to developers after being impressed by their skills, creativity, and problem-solving approach.

Goa Code Premier League 2026 successfully created a platform where student innovation met real-world industry exposure, fostering meaningful collaboration between aspiring developers and Goa’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Speaking about the vision behind the Goa Code Premier League, Prajyot Mainkar, Founder of Sofueled, said,“Goa has no shortage of talent. We all need to work collectively to build stronger platforms where developers, founders, startups, and industry leaders can consistently collaborate, build, and create opportunities together. Goa Code Premier League was one such attempt designed to bridge that gap – not just as a hackathon, but as a space where ideas, talent, and the startup ecosystem can genuinely connect and grow.”

The event concluded with networking interactions continuing over dinner, marking the end of a highly engaging and impactful edition of Goa Code Premier League 2026.
