The trend of increased giving continued on Independence Day, August 15th, 2024, when the average donation amount surged by 47% compared to regular days. This indicates that donors are more inclined to make substantial contributions during significant national celebrations.
The influence of festivals on charitable behavior was further evident during Janmashtami on August 7th, 2024. The average number of donations increased by 76% compared to non-festive days, reflecting the festival’s impact on encouraging generosity. Additionally, the Ganesh Festival, which began with the Aagman of Ganpati Bappa on August 31st and continued through September 7th, 2024, saw a remarkable 136% increase in the number of visitors to the Ketto platform. This surge in traffic underscores the growing public interest in supporting charitable causes during this vibrant festival period.
