The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bodh Gaya commemorated a milestone in its journey with the successful celebration of Elegante X, its annual management, sports, and cultural fest. Spanning three days, the landmark edition celebrated 10 years of excellence, bringing together students, faculty, administrators, and participants from institutions across the country in a vibrant display of collaboration, creativity, and campus camaraderie.
Elegante X commenced on an auspicious note with the institute seeking blessings from Maa Saraswati on the occasion of Basant Panchami. The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of the Chief Guest, Shri Shashank Shubhankar Singh, District Magistrate, Gaya. He highlighted the importance of institutional collaboration and relationship-building among future leaders.
As part of the festivities, AAYURUN 2026 , a health-focused marathon organised by Pragati, the CSR Committee was held on January 24. Embracing an inspirational theme “Run Long. Live Strong,” the marathon was inaugurated by Shri Sushil Kumar, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Gaya, in the presence of institute leadership. With over 800 participants, including students, faculty members, and NGO representatives, the 8.5 km route beginning and ending at the IIM Bodh Gaya campus symbolised the institute’s commitment to preventive health and holistic well-being. Building on earlier initiatives such as Greenathon, Riverathon, and EduRUN, AAYURUN reinforced the role of individual health in sustainable social development.
The fest witnessed strong inter-college participation from institutions including IIM Ranchi, NIT Patna, IMI Kolkata, St. Xavier’s College, NSIT Patna, and several others. The three days witnessed wide-ranging sports competitions, as well as management and cultural events. Several artists performed over the course of the festival, enlivening the experience.
The celebrations culminated with the observance of Republic Day, reflecting the institute’s respect for constitutional values, unity, and democratic ideals. Dr. Vinita S. Sahay, Director, IIM Bodh Gaya, hoisted the Tricolour, and in her message to the campus community, she highlighted the importance of building leadership, having a clear vision, and leaving behind a meaningful legacy. The occasion reaffirmed IIM Bodh Gaya’s commitment to nurturing socially responsible leaders grounded in ethical values and civic consciousness.
Together, Elegante X, AAYURUN 2026, and the Republic Day celebrations showcased IIM Bodh Gaya’s holistic approach to management education, one that integrates academic excellence with cultural engagement, physical well-being, social responsibility, and national spirit.
