Mumbai, Jan 19: BorderPlus, an international career mobility platform enabling ethical and structured global career pathways for healthcare professionals, announced the launch of its AI-powered Nurse Companion at the German Nursing Career Fair in Kochi. The launch marks a significant step in empowering nursing students in Kerala with clear, personalised, and credible guidance on global nursing careers, particularly in Germany.
Designed as a language-first learning tool, the AI-powered Nurse Companion helps nursing students build real-world German language proficiency through immersive practice. The companion enables nurses to experience over 350+ hours of simulated, real-life interactions in German healthcare and everyday settings, allowing them to effectively “live in Germany” linguistically before they physically move.
The AI Nurse Companion is available exclusively to students enrolled at the BorderPlus Finishing School, ensuring structured, guided language immersion as a core part of their preparation journey.
The German Nursing Career Fair brought together aspiring nurses, language experts, and German healthcare stakeholders, and saw participation from over 150+ attendees, highlighting both the strong interest in overseas opportunities and the growing need for transparent, trustworthy information.
The event had a keynote address by Joseph Annamkutty Jose, renowned motivational speaker, author, and radio personality, who encouraged nurses to think beyond short-term outcomes and focus on clarity, preparation, and sustained professional growth.
Speaking at the event, he said, “Building a successful career in nursing requires more than ambition. It takes consistent effort, dedication, and the courage to step outside your comfort zone. Those who invest time in preparation, embrace challenges, and approach each decision thoughtfully are the ones who advance professionally and create lasting impact for their families and communities. Clarity, persistence, and resilience are the keys to turning opportunities into meaningful, long-term careers.”
During the fair, BorderPlus outlined its end-to-end enablement model spanning preparation, finishing school, ethical placement, and on-ground integration. The newly launched AI Nurse Companion strengthens this ecosystem by offering nurses consistent, unbiased guidance at every stage of their journey, helping them avoid fragmented or unrealistic pathways.
A key highlight of the fair was a virtual interaction with German healthcare stakeholders, who shared first-hand insights into employer expectations, professional standards, workplace culture, and integration timelines. The session helped understand the German healthcare system and gave nurses a realistic understanding of what it takes to build successful careers in Germany.
Commenting on the Career Fair, Mayank Kumar, CEO & Co-founder, BorderPlus, said, “Our aim in bringing people together at the German Nursing Career Fair was to create space for clear, honest conversations about working as a nurse in Germany. These are life-changing decisions, and when nurses have the right information, the impact extends beyond individual careers to families and communities.”
The discussions at the German Nursing Career Fair reinforced the importance of transparent information, structured preparation, and language readiness in enabling nurses to make informed decisions about global careers and long-term professional growth.
