Kanyakumari, Dec 6: The Bharat AnnShuddhi Padyatra, a path-breaking 4,000 km on-foot journey from Srinagar to Kanyakumari, finally came to an end at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial today, marking a successful completion of one of India’s most impactful awareness campaigns on pure food and sustainable agriculture.

Initiated on June 26 from Srinagar, the padyatra is being led by Gaurav Tyagi, a native of Uttar Pradesh, to promote the cause of pure, chemical-free food while recommending natural and organic farming in the country as a whole. This historic campaign has journeyed over several months through many states, villages, towns, and cities, and turned out to be a people’s movement for a healthy, sustainable Bharat.
Throughout this extensive journey, Bharat AnnShuddi Padyatra inspired over 1,00,000 people, including more than 60,000 children and youth, 40,000 farmers, and 10,000-15,000 citizens from varied walks of life. It initiated unprecedented debate on the adverse effects of chemical fertilizers and pesticides while discussing the hope of natural and organic farming methods.
The padyatra thus became an event for understanding ground realities, sharing knowledge, and galvanizing communities toward collective action in the adoption of safer, healthier, and ecologically responsible food practices. From farmers’ congregations and student interactions to awareness meetings with local communities, the campaign stirred a new-found commitment to food purity across the nation.
The conclusion at Vivekananda Rock Memorial stands as a symbolic reminder of India’s unity, diversity, and shared responsibility toward safeguarding the health of its people and the sustainability of its land. With the thousands of supporters welcoming the padyatra at its final destination, this is a proud moment for advocates for organic living and natural agriculture.
While commemorating the completion of this milestone journey, Gaurav Tyagi said,
“Bharat AnnShuddhi Padyatra has been a journey of learning, awakening, and collective responsibility. Walking 4,000 km allowed us to connect with farmers, children, and citizens who all shared the same desire: a Bharat that eats pure, chemical-free food. This movement belongs to every individual who joined us, supported us, and believed in the power of natural farming. Together, we have taken an important step toward securing the health of our future generations and restoring the purity of our soil.”
The message of this padyatra echoes across the nation as it finally comes to a close. The movement has provided a very strong foundation for continued efforts toward awareness, policy making, and grassroots’ motivational work in organic and natural farming. Bharat AnnShuddhi Padyatra stands as a testament to people-powered change and to the transformative momentum that is propelling us toward a more sustainable agricultural future.
