29 April 2025, Pune – In a commendable initiative to instill environmental awareness and appreciation for local heritage, students of Grades 6, 7, and 8 from Ryan International Academy-CBSE, Bavdhan visited Vetal Tekdi in Pashan, Pune.

The educational visit aimed to introduce students to the Miyawaki forest technique, highlight the importance of wetland ecosystems, and provide insight into the migratory birds that frequent the area. As part of the experience, students also actively participated in watering plants, fostering a hands-on understanding of ecological responsibility.

This enriching experience was made possible with the support of a group of like-minded citizens working tirelessly to preserve Vetal Tekdi, a vital part of Pune’s natural landscape. The students were guided through various ecological zones, observed several species of birds, and engaged in interactive discussions about Pune’s natural and cultural heritage.

The visit emphasized that today’s children are tomorrow’s conservationists—the flag bearers of our heritage. They were inspired to take responsibility for conserving nature and passing it on to future generations.

Ryan International Academy continues to uphold its commitment to holistic education by integrating environmental learning with real-world experiences that nurture responsible, conscious citizens.
